Animal, Rabbit

Ron Haselden and pupils from St Vincent de Paul Primary School
7pm Friday 26th September 2008
St James Church, Upper Parliament Street, Toxteth

For this project artist Ron Haselden invited pupils from schools in Liverpool to make a drawing on the subject of Animal on an A6 piece of paper. In 2006 three of these Animal drawings were transformed into large, freestanding drawings in neon light. To celebrate Liverpool as Capital of Culture and the launch of the Cultural Olympiad, Rabbit will be lighting up the tower of St James Church in Toxteth.

Thanks go to The Churches Conservation Trust and staff and pupils at St Vincent de Paul Primary School.

Animal is part of the Winter Lights series and is a Liverpool Biennial project developed in collaboration with Rotunda, Garston Cultural Village and Metal.
